Reykjavik and Iceland

Reykjavik is a modern and cosmopolitan city in a country defined by its awe-inspiring natural environment. This colourful capital is home to an impressive collection of interesting attractions, landmarks and places of historic significance. A designated UNESCO City of Literature, Reykjavik has numerous cultural and art institutions, and in recent years has become well known for its prolific music and performing arts scene. Iceland is, of course, most famous for its magnificent landscapes, the aurora borealis and outstanding hot springs. This trip will give you the ideal opportunity to experience Iceland’s countless natural wonders first-hand!

Don’t forget, as well, that Iceland is one of the happiest places in the world, with its population topping many desirable polls: such as buying the most books in the world per capita. It also has the smallest gender gap and hasn’t felt the need to have an army for 700 years. Icelanders clearly enjoy a good time — just check out the Instagram account of the Reykjavik Police!
