Walking the Kungsleden, Sweden, for seven nights, from £435 per person

Availability: June – Sept

Trek the vast landscape of the Arctic Circle, which in this part of Swedish Lapland is filled with contrasts.  . Travel in June or July and see the midnight sun or glimpse the northern lights in late August and September.

Hike between simple and traditional mountain cabins in spectacular settings. Because of the remoteness of the trail, you will carry your own pack and a small supply of provisions, but the walking is easy and you will gain a true mountain experience, meeting Sami people, traditional reindeer herders and may even spot an Arctic fox, golden eagle and ptarmigan.

At the end of your days’ walking you can relax in saunas and enjoy the olde-worlde charm of mountain cabins.

Included in the price is accommodation in mountain stations and cabins plus two breakfasts and two dinners, two saunas, a boat trip, maps, guidebook and detailed information packs.

Flights to Stockholm and Kiruna airport are not included in the price, but Macs Adventure can advise on the best travel options at the time of booking. Fly to Kiruna for the start of the trek at Abisko and the end of the walk Nikkaluokta.
