As one of the great sightseeing cities of the world, anytime is a great time to visit Paris whatever the weather! Paris weather is rarely sweltering or freezing, although in summer you should check that the hotel you are staying in has good air conditioning. Do not assume that it has it unless it specifically says so on its website. The hottest months are July and August though on average July tends to be significantly wetter than August, which is just about the driest month. December – February is the coldest though snow is not very common. It has been known for very cold spells to play havoc with the Eurostar train timetables to London. Roughly speaking there are 40% more visitors in the months from June -August than in April, May and September, so those are good months to visit, though note that as regards the Paris weather in May, this is in fact the wettest month of the year. Do bear in mind that August is the time that most of the Parisians take their vacation. If art exhibitions are your thing then August is not the best month as some of them are closed
