Celebrity Cruises – What’s New for 2015?

Suite Class

2015 will see the introduction of Suite Class, beginning in April. Exclusive, indulgent and the height of modern luxury, the new exceptional ‘Suite Class’ experience will offer suite guests exclusive new benefits including a suites-only restaurant, VIP lounge, complimentary premium drinks and more. Guests will enjoy incredible service from the moment they arrive with their personal butler taking care of every detail.

The dedicated private restaurant reserved exclusively for all Suite Class guests will be available morning, noon and night. Guests can immerse themselves in the local culture with specially crafted menus inspired by the local destination and enjoy a tailor-made experience with dishes prepared on request.  Alongside the continued investment in the food and beverage offering, leading wine expert Oz Clarke lends his remarkable knowledge to the extensive wine and drinks menus in his role as Celebrity Cruises’ Wine and Craft Beer Ambassador.

Celebrity Eclipse  refurbishment

Ahead of its sixth consecutive summer sailing from Southampton, Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Eclipse, is undergoing a revamp to offer a series of luxurious new features when it returns to the UK in May 2015. The ship will boast new signature spaces and experiences currently only available on sister ship, Celebrity Equinox, in addition to the array of guest-favourite features onboard. New food and drink venues will include:

Gastrobar – A new premium craft beer and comfort food venue, offering over 40 handcrafted boutique beers to choose from in addition to Celebrity Cruises’ collection of wines and cocktails, all perfectly paired with a menu of gastro-style fare. The menus will be presented on iPads which will also include an app for guests to select their ideal food and drink pairings.

Slush – A vibrant and stylish, poolside frozen drinks bar. Slush will offer alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails with flavour options ranging from fresh pressed lemon juice, raspberries, cucumbers and mint, to Persian lime, Florida Valencia and Hamlin orange juice with organic agave nectar.

Sailing highlights for 2015

Celebrity Cruises will have five ships sailing in Europe for 2015, calling at 94 destinations and in 28 different countries. With more late night departures and overnight stays, guests will have more opportunity to experience some of the world’s most glamorous locations at night including Ibiza (Spain), Cannes (France), Mykonos (Greece), St. Petersburg (Russia), Venice (Italy), Barcelona (Spain) and Istanbul (Turkey).

The luxury cruise line has also unveiled a number of sailings that coincide with renowned international events, allowing guests to get close to the action. Film fans can holiday with Hollywood royalty with a visit to Cannes during the prestigious International Film Festival, or head to Venice to take in the spectacular event of the Redentore Festival when St Mark’s Bay will be filled with boats decorated with brightly coloured lanterns and balloons ahead of the incredible fireworks display. In addition, keen golfers can combine their cruise holiday with a visit to Edinburgh for The Open Championships at St Andrews.

Onshore adventures

By popular demand, Ben Fogle’s Great Adventures will return in 2015. Guests who are keen to see the destinations from the point of view of the intrepid explorer can add once-in-a-lifetime experiences to their holiday such as snorkelling with salmon in Norway, discovering Dubrovnik by bike, kayak and RIB boat in Ben’s triathlon with a twist and heading to the home of Gelato to create a bespoke flavour in Capri.

Designed exclusively for families with children aged 12-17 years old, Celebrity Cruises’ Family Tour Challenge offers fun interactive group activities. Excursions include the Family Flamenco Dance Off in Barcelona (Spain) – after learning the basics of the traditional dance, families will compete to crown the best dancer – and the Venetian Gondoliering Challenge in Venice (Italy), where guests will be taught the age-old art before taking to the waterway to pilot their own gondola.

Celebrity Cruises will continue to offer Celebrity Exclusives, a series of premium adventures for groups of two-15 people, which can be customised by the onboard Destination Concierge. Guests can take a private luxury boat to soak up the sun and sights around Capri, the Amalfi Coast and Positano; get behind the wheel of a convertible Ferrari and drive up above the French Riviera to take in the iconic views on Monaco Bay or take a helicopter ride over the French countryside before arriving at culinary legend, Alain Ducasse’s, Provencal Inn for a delicious four-course meal.
